Description

The Kichler Hendrik is a 2-light bathroom wall light with two cylindrical satin-etched opal glass shades mounted on a polished chrome backplate. Each shade houses a 3W LED G9 bulb (both included), delivering warm 3000K light through the etched glass for even diffusion without harsh glare. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3.

Designed for installation above bathroom mirrors or either side of a vanity unit, the Hendrik provides functional task lighting for grooming and daily routines. The 367mm width suits typical single-basin vanity units or smaller double basins, while the 163mm projection clears most mirrors without protruding too far into the room. The polished chrome finish reflects bathroom light and pairs cleanly with chrome taps, shower fittings and heated towel rails.

The dual glass shades are held by stepped chrome rings that add visual detail to what would otherwise be a plain cylinder-on-backplate design. The satin-etched finish on the opal glass softens the light output and conceals the LED modules inside each shade when the light is switched off. The G9 bulbs sit inside the glass rather than exposed, giving a cleaner appearance than open-bulb fittings and reducing the risk of water contact with the lamp base.

What bathroom zones can it be used in?

The IP44 rating makes the Hendrik suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, which includes above-basin mounting and wall positions more than 600mm from a shower head or bath edge. It cannot be installed in zones 0 or 1 (inside a shower enclosure or directly above a bath).

Are the bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses standard G9 bulbs, which can be replaced if they fail. The included 3W LED G9 bulbs are rated for approximately 15,000 hours, but replacement bulbs are widely available if needed. Ensure any replacement bulb is also rated at 3W maximum to avoid overheating.

What width vanity unit does it suit?

The 367mm width works best above vanity units between 600mm and 900mm wide, typically single-basin or compact double-basin units. For wider double-basin vanities above 1200mm, consider installing two separate single-light fittings instead to balance the light distribution.

Can it be fitted horizontally and vertically?

The Hendrik is designed for horizontal mounting only, with the two shades positioned side-by-side. Vertical mounting (one shade above the other) would place the lower shade too close to a basin or worktop and is not recommended.
