Description

The Hendrik is a single-light wall fitting with a cylindrical satin-etched opal glass shade held in a polished chrome mount that curves outward from a rectangular backplate. The 3W LED G9 bulb is included and sits inside the glass diffuser, casting 3000K warm white light through the etched surface to provide even illumination without harsh shadows or glare.

Designed for bathroom installation beside mirrors or above basins, the Hendrik carries an IP44 rating, protecting the electrical components from water splashes typical in bathrooms. The polished chrome finish reflects light back into the room and pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and bathroom fittings. The 127mm width and 202mm projection suit typical bathroom wall spaces where a compact fitting is needed close to a mirror or shaving point.

The satin-etched glass diffuses light evenly across the surface rather than creating a visible bright spot at the bulb position, making the Hendrik suitable for mounting at eye level without causing discomfort. The curved chrome arm that holds the glass shade adds visual interest to what would otherwise be a simple cylindrical fitting, and the stepped chrome rings at the base of the shade echo Art Deco detailing while remaining compatible with contemporary bathroom schemes.

What does the IP44 rating mean for bathroom use?

IP44 means the fitting is protected against solid objects larger than 1mm and water splashes from any direction. This makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, which include areas around basins, beside mirrors and general bathroom wall positions away from direct shower spray.

Is the bulb replaceable?

Yes. The fitting takes a standard G9 LED bulb rated up to 3W. The included 3000K warm white LED can be replaced with another G9 bulb of the same wattage if needed, though LED bulbs typically last 15,000-25,000 hours.

Can it be mounted horizontally or vertically?

The Hendrik is designed for vertical mounting with the backplate upright and the glass shade extending outward. Horizontal mounting would position the shade incorrectly and affect the light distribution.

How is the polished chrome cleaned?

Wipe with a soft microfibre cloth dampened with water. For more stubborn marks or water spots, a dedicated chrome cleaner or a small amount of diluted white vinegar on a cloth works well. Avoid abrasive cleaners or rough cloths that can scratch the polished surface.
