Our Heart'n'Soul Desk is made from solid walnut over an MDF core, with a top finished in FENIX® nanolaminate over steel, bringing together warmth and hard-wearing practicality in a single piece. We chose walnut for its deep, richly grained tone, and the matt FENIX® surface resists fingerprints and everyday marks while keeping a smooth, low-sheen feel underhand. The frame is honest and uncomplicated, so the material does the talking. It is a desk we return to whenever we want something built to last rather than replaced.

The form is straightforward and useful. This is a rectangular desk measuring 120cm wide and 80cm deep, standing 75cm high, which gives a generous working surface and comfortable clearance for a chair beneath. Two shallow drawers sit under the front edge, keeping pens, cables and papers close but out of sight, and four tapered legs lift the whole piece with a light, balanced stance. At 32kg it feels solid and planted once in place, and there is ample room across the top for a monitor alongside a table lamp base, or for spreading out notebooks when the space is needed. The walnut tone reads warm against both pale and darker surroundings.

We keep assembly quick and clear, so fitting the legs and settling the desk into position takes around 30 minutes with the tools and fixings we supply. The oak we use is FSC™-certified, which matters to us because it means the timber is traced back to responsibly managed forests, and we hold ourselves to that standard across the range.
