Harper 3 Light Flush Ceiling Light - Heritage Brass With Opal Etched Glass

The Harper is a 400mm flush ceiling light built around a cylindrical opal etched glass shade held between two heritage brass bands. The upper and lower brass rings each carry a pair of knurled cylindrical knobs that secure the glass and give the fitting its signature hardware-visible aesthetic. Three E27 bulbs inside the glass (sold separately) provide ambient light diffused through the frosted glass.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the Harper's 159mm total projection from ceiling to bottom edge makes it suitable for hallways, bedrooms, low-ceilinged living rooms and entrance halls. The opal glass diffuses the bulbs evenly so there are no visible hot spots when viewed from below. The three E27 sockets allow flexibility in total light output — pair with three 6-8W warm LEDs for ambient bedroom lighting or three 10-12W LEDs for brighter hallway or kitchen use.

The heritage brass finish sits between antique brass and polished brass in tone, offering a warm metallic accent that ages naturally without the high-shine reflections of polished brass or the darker patina of antique brass. The knurled brass knobs are functional hardware rather than decoration — they thread into the brass bands to clamp the glass in place, making the fixture serviceable for bulb changes without tools. The glass shade is 400mm diameter and approximately 100mm deep, giving the fitting a substantial presence overhead without dominating smaller rooms.

What bulbs does the Harper take?

The fitting takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with three warm-white LED bulbs between 6-12W and 2700K-3000K depending on the room brightness needed.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 159mm projection from ceiling to bottom edge makes the Harper suitable for rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m where pendant lights would hang too low. It works well in hallways, bedrooms and living rooms with limited headroom.

How is the glass shade removed for bulb changes?

The four knurled brass knobs on the upper and lower bands unscrew by hand to release the glass shade. Once the knobs are loosened, the glass lifts out, giving access to the three E27 sockets for bulb changes. No tools are required.
