Description
The Harbor is a 400mm flush ceiling light from Ideal Lux Italy, built around a gold-finished metal frame that supports rows of cut crystal pearls above a circular sandblasted glass diffuser. Six E14 bulbs (sold separately) sit behind the crystal array, casting light through the crystals and down through the frosted glass panel at the base.
Designed for rooms with standard ceiling heights between 2.4-2.7m where a chandelier drop would intrude on headroom, the Harbor provides decorative crystal lighting without needing suspension clearance. The 400mm diameter suits hallways, landing areas, bedrooms, and smaller dining rooms. The flush mount sits directly against the ceiling, typically projecting 150-180mm from the surface depending on back box depth and fitting configuration.
The cut crystal pearls are strung in overlapping rows that create depth when viewed from different angles in the room. Light passing through the crystals throws refracted highlights onto surrounding walls and ceilings, while the sandblasted glass diffuser at the base softens direct downward light and reduces glare. The gold finish on the frame is a warm metallic that reads closer to antique brass than polished yellow gold, pairing with traditional interiors, classical mouldings, and warm-toned contemporary schemes.
The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible E14 dimmable bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies, or anywhere exposed to moisture.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does it take and are they included?
The Harbor takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair it with 4-6W warm white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K to balance light output with the decorative effect of the crystals.
Is it suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. As a flush fitting it sits directly against the ceiling with minimal projection, making it appropriate for standard 2.4m ceiling heights where a pendant or chandelier would intrude on headroom.
Is the fitting dimmable?
The fitting itself is dimmable. You will need six dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer on the circuit to achieve dimming control.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is designed for dry indoor areas only and is not protected against moisture ingress. It is not suitable for bathrooms, utility rooms, or any location where it may be exposed to steam or condensation.
