Description

The Habana is a round pendant lampshade in woven black fabric with a tapered drum profile, measuring 41cm at the top rim, 45cm at the bottom rim, and 21.5cm in height. The shade fits standard pendant lamp holders (sold separately) and acts as a diffuser for E27 bulbs, softening the light output and casting ambient glow downwards and through the fabric weave.

Designed for pendant lights above dining tables, kitchen islands and lounge seating, the Habana provides directional task lighting with reduced glare. The 41/45cm diameter suits tables up to 1.6m long or kitchen islands up to 2m when used as a single pendant, or can be grouped in pairs or threes over longer surfaces. The black fabric absorbs direct brightness from the bulb and turns the shade itself into the light source, creating a warmer visual effect than exposed bulbs.

The woven fabric is stretched over a metal frame with a visible texture that catches light at shallow angles during the day. The tapered profile (narrower at the top, wider at the base) directs more light downwards onto the surface below while allowing some upward spill to reduce ceiling shadows. At 0.6kg the shade is light enough for standard ceiling roses and pendant kits without additional bracing.

The Habana is part of the Spanish-manufactured lampshade collection and carries a 1-year warranty. The black finish pairs with brass, chrome, black and wood pendant hardware, and works in monochrome, industrial and contemporary interiors where dark accents are already present.

Does the shade come with a pendant fitting?

No. The Habana is a shade only and requires a separate pendant lamp holder with E27 fitting, ceiling rose, and cable. These are sold separately at Niori or available from standard lighting accessory ranges.

What bulb should be used with this shade?

An E27 LED bulb between 6-12W and 2700K-3000K provides warm ambient light without overheating the fabric. Avoid halogen or incandescent bulbs above 40W as the heat output can degrade the fabric over time.

What size table does this shade suit?

The 41/45cm diameter works best over dining tables up to 1.6m long or kitchen islands up to 2m when used as a single pendant. For longer tables, use two or three Habana shades spaced evenly along the length.

Can the fabric be cleaned?

Woven fabric shades attract dust over time. Use a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to low suction, or wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth. Do not use water or chemical cleaners as they can stain or damage the weave.
