Description

The Grange Park is a 610mm ceramic table lamp built around an egg-shaped base with a two-tone finish: the upper section carries a reactive grey/brown glaze showing tonal variation from firing, while the lower half is left in an unglazed matte beige. The 360mm cream faux silk drum shade sits on a polished nickel finial and harp assembly, and the lamp takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and low side tables in living rooms, the Grange Park provides ambient rather than task lighting due to the opaque drum shade. The 305mm ceramic base height positions the shade's lower edge approximately 150-200mm above a typical bedside surface, keeping direct bulb glare out of sight when seated or lying in bed. The 195mm base diameter gives the lamp stability on surfaces as narrow as 250mm wide without overhanging.

The reactive glaze on the upper ceramic section means each lamp shows slightly different speckling, shading and tonal gradation from grey through taupe to brown, depending on where it sat in the kiln during firing. The unglazed beige lower section provides a matte counterpoint and stops the lamp feeling too glossy or reflective under table lamps or downlights. The cream faux silk shade diffuses the bulb completely, so the light quality depends entirely on the colour temperature of the bulb chosen — a 2700K warm white LED gives a soft amber cast, while a 3000K neutral white keeps the cream shade closer to white.
