Description

The Gold Birds is a 650mm porcelain table lamp built on a 340mm Chinese porcelain vase base with a hand-painted birds and berries motif in gold against a soft light blue celadon glaze. The base sits on a dark wood plinth and is topped with a cream polycotton knife-pleat shade and an aged brass ball finial. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W, sold separately.

Designed for side tables in living rooms, console tables in entrance halls, and bedside tables in traditionally styled bedrooms, the lamp pairs decorative function with ambient lighting. The 410mm shade diameter at the base diffuses light evenly across a 1-1.5m radius, providing enough output for reading when paired with a 6-10W warm LED bulb. The porcelain base and wooden plinth give the lamp a 3kg presence that sits securely on most surfaces without wobbling.

The hand-painted gold birds and berry motif on the porcelain shows slight variation between individual lamps due to the nature of the hand-application process, making each piece subtly different.
