Description

The Glorion is a 300mm conical pendant light made from powder-coated metal finished in matt black on the exterior, with a white-painted interior surface that reflects light downwards. The shade tapers from a 300mm diameter opening at the base to a narrow apex, where it meets a black fabric-covered cable and powder-coated metal ceiling rose. The single E27 fitting inside the cone accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for kitchens, dining areas and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Glorion works as a solo pendant over a small dining table or breakfast bar, or in a run of three or five over a kitchen island. The 2000mm cable can be shortened on installation to set the shade 700-900mm above a worksurface or 650-750mm above a dining table. The white interior of the cone directs light downwards while reducing glare when viewed from standing height.

The matt black finish absorbs ambient light rather than reflecting it, which makes the fitting recede visually during the day and become more prominent when lit in the evening. The conical profile is proportioned to suit ceilings between 2.4m and 3m without overwhelming the space — the 270mm height of the shade gives enough depth to house an exposed filament bulb without the lamp source dominating the view from below. The fabric-covered cable softens the profile compared to a bare flex and carries the black finish from ceiling to shade without a visual break.

Is the Glorion dimmable?

Yes. The fitting is compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs and a standard trailing-edge dimmer. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulb chosen — most LED filament bulbs rated as dimmable will work without flicker.

What bulb does it take and is one included?

The Glorion takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-8W LED filament bulb in 2700K warm white for dining and kitchen applications.

Can the cable be shortened?

Yes. The 2000mm cable can be shortened during installation by looping the excess inside the ceiling rose or by cutting and re-terminating the cable if you are competent with electrical work. The fabric covering can be trimmed to match the shortened cable length.

What ceiling height works best?

The Glorion suits ceilings between 2.4m and 3m. For a dining table the shade typically hangs 650-750mm above the table surface; for a kitchen island or worktop, 700-900mm clearance is standard. Lower ceilings can still work if the cable is shortened appropriately.
