The diffuser sits on a simple ground stake and accepts a single E27 bulb (sold separately), casting ambient light through the textured surface. An IP44 rating allows the fitting to withstand rain and garden sprinkler exposure, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK climates.

Designed for lawns, borders, patios and pathway edges, the Gloriana provides low-level illumination without glare. The 575mm height positions the sphere at ankle-to-knee level, where it acts as both a light source and a visible marker along garden paths or between planted borders. The ground stake pushes into soil or loose gravel, and the 2150mm cable terminates in a UK 3-pin plug for connection to outdoor sockets or garden lighting transformers with compatible outputs.

The granite-effect texture on the white diffuser softens the light output and gives the sphere a natural-stone appearance when unlit during daylight hours. The plastic construction keeps the weight manageable for repositioning between seasons — the entire fitting can be lifted out and moved to a new location without excavation. What bulb does it take and is one included?

The Gloriana takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. No bulb is included. Most users pair this with a 6-10W warm-white LED E27 rated for outdoor use, typically 2700K-3000K colour temperature for garden ambience.

Can it be left outside year-round?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against rain and garden sprinkler spray from any direction. The plastic diffuser and internal components are designed for year-round UK outdoor exposure. The cable and plug connection should be protected under an outdoor socket cover or connected via a weatherproof junction box.

How is it installed?

The ground stake pushes into soil, lawn or loose gravel. No digging or foundation is needed. The 2150mm cable runs along the ground (can be buried in a shallow trench) to an outdoor socket or garden lighting transformer. The sphere can be repositioned by lifting it out and pushing the stake into a new location.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb and the dimmer on the supply circuit. If using an LED E27 bulb, choose one marked as dimmable and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming — the control comes from the bulb and circuit.
