Description

The Gloara is an 80cm outdoor bollard light with a cylindrical powder-coated grey metal post and a circular white plastic diffuser at the top. The diffuser houses four G9 bulbs (sold separately) and casts light downward onto pathways, driveways and garden borders. The IP44 rating allows the fitting to handle rain and splashes but it should not be installed in areas subject to direct high-pressure water jets or full immersion.

Designed for domestic and commercial outdoor lighting where consistent pathway illumination is needed after dark, the Gloara sits between typical 60-65cm bollards and taller 100cm+ post lights. The 80cm height places the light source above typical ground planting and low-level garden furniture while keeping the visual profile below eye level for most adults. The 205mm diameter head gives enough spread to light a 1.2-1.5m-wide garden path without needing to space the bollards unusually close together.

The grey powder-coated finish is applied over metal, providing corrosion resistance and a neutral tone that pairs with both warm-coloured paving and cooler slate or concrete surfaces. The white diffuser softens the G9 bulbs and prevents direct glare when viewed from approaching angles. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 LED bulbs and a suitable outdoor dimmer circuit.

Installation requires a buried cable run to the bollard base and a stable foundation or fixing plate to hold the 80cm post upright. The Gloara is supplied by Ideal Lux and carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty covering material and electrical faults under normal outdoor use.
