Description
The Glistis is a 600mm semi-flush ceiling light with an integrated 48W 3000K dimmable LED, built around three concentric white powder-coated metal rings that overlap in a spiral formation around a central opal rubber diffuser. The LED sits behind the diffuser, casting warm ambient light evenly across the room without visible hotspots or individual diodes.
Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.5m where a full pendant would hang too low, the Glistis sits 180mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for modern bedrooms, home offices, kitchens and living rooms in new-build properties or conversions where ceiling height is limited. The dimmable LED allows brightness adjustment from full 48W output down to low ambient levels, controlled via a compatible wall dimmer or smart dimmer switch.
The white powder-coated metal frame provides a clean, minimal finish that pairs with white ceilings and contemporary interiors without adding visual weight. The opal rubber diffuser is soft enough to absorb minor impacts during installation and cleaning, while the metal rings give the fitting structural rigidity at 600mm diameter. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light that sits between neutral office lighting and the warmer tones of traditional incandescent bulbs.
The fitting carries an IP20 rating, meaning it's designed for standard dry indoor locations and should not be used in bathrooms without consulting IP rating zones. The integrated LED eliminates the need for bulb replacement during the typical service life, and Ideal Lux backs the fitting with a 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.

Frequently Asked
Is the Glistis suitable for low ceilings?
Yes. The 180mm height from ceiling to bottom of the fitting makes it appropriate for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.5m or lower, where a traditional pendant would hang too far into the room. The semi-flush design provides ambient light without requiring significant headroom clearance.
What type of dimmer is needed?
The integrated LED requires a trailing-edge or LED-compatible dimmer switch. Not all standard rotary dimmers are compatible with LED fittings. Check the dimmer packaging for LED compatibility before installation, or contact us for dimmer recommendations.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
The IP20 rating means it's designed for dry indoor locations only. IP20 fittings can be used in bathrooms outside the defined zones (typically zone 3, more than 600mm from the bath or shower), but not directly above or adjacent to water sources. For bathroom zones 1 or 2, an IP44 or IP65 rated fitting is required.
Is the LED replaceable?
The LED is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for a typical service life of 20,000-30,000 hours, which at 4 hours daily use equates to 13-20 years before noticeable dimming occurs.
