Description

The Glintis is a 650mm anthracite LED bollard light built around a cylindrical opal diffuser set on an aluminium post. An integrated 9.5W LED inside the diffuser delivers 4000K neutral white light that casts uniform illumination across pathways, driveways and garden borders without creating glare hotspots.

Designed for year-round outdoor installation, the bollard carries an IP44 rating that protects the internal LED and driver from rain splash and moisture ingress when mounted vertically. The 120mm diameter opal shade diffuses the LED output evenly in a 360-degree pattern, making the light visible from all approach angles while keeping direct LED glare out of sight. The anthracite finish suits contemporary and minimalist landscaping schemes and holds its appearance through UV exposure and British weather cycles.

The aluminium construction gives the bollard corrosion resistance without the weight of cast iron, and the 650mm height positions the light source low enough to illuminate path edges and planting without spilling into ground-floor windows. The integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement and delivers consistent colour temperature over the rated lifespan. Can the Glintis be used in exposed coastal locations?

The IP44 rating protects against rain splash and moisture but not salt spray or direct hose-down. In coastal locations with salt air exposure, periodic rinsing with fresh water will help maintain the anthracite finish and prevent corrosion over time.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 9.5W LED is integrated into the bollard and rated for the full product lifespan. LED degradation is gradual and the unit is covered by a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

What mounting method is used?

The bollard accepts either a ground spike for installation into soil or turf, or can be bolted onto a concrete base or paving slab. Mounting hardware is not included — select the appropriate fixing method based on your installation surface.
