Description
The Glimmara is a single-spotlight LED track fitting designed for three-phase rail systems, housing an integrated 8W LED that outputs warm 3000K light. The cylindrical spotlight head is finished in matt black metal and measures 70mm in length with a 44mm diameter aperture, giving a compact profile that sits close to the track without dominating sight lines.
Designed for accent lighting in retail displays, gallery walls, feature walls in hospitality settings, and home offices where directed light is needed to highlight artwork, shelving or work surfaces, the Glimmara clips onto standard three-phase track and rotates 350° horizontally with approximately 90° tilt adjustment. The three-phase track system allows multiple spotlights to be controlled on separate circuits from a single rail, enabling zoned lighting across a space.
The black metal body absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, keeping the spotlight itself visually recessive when attention should be on what it illuminates. The integrated 8W LED provides a focused beam with warm 3000K colour temperature suited to displaying warm-toned materials, timber furniture, and contemporary interiors. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to indoor dry locations, and the non-dimmable driver means brightness is fixed at installation.
Ideal Lux manufactures the Glimmara in Italy and backs the fitting with a 5-year warranty covering the integrated LED and track adapter mechanism. The compact dimensions suit ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards where a tighter beam spread is preferred over wide-flood track spots.

Frequently Asked
What is three-phase track and how does it differ from single-circuit track?
Three-phase track incorporates three separate electrical circuits within a single rail, allowing spotlights to be assigned to different switching groups. This means you can control different zones of light independently from one track system, useful in retail or gallery settings where different displays need separate control.
Is the Glimmara dimmable?
No. The integrated LED driver is not compatible with dimmer switches, so brightness is fixed at the 8W output level. If dimming is required, consider other models in the Ideal Lux track range that specify dimmer compatibility.
Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoor covered areas?
No. The IP20 rating limits the Glimmara to indoor dry locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens near hobs, or any outdoor application including covered porches.
What beam angle does the 8W LED produce?
Ideal Lux does not publish the exact beam angle in degrees for this model, but the 44mm aperture and integrated reflector produce a focused accent beam rather than a wide flood. It is designed to highlight specific objects or wall sections rather than provide broad area coverage.
