Description
The Glim is a single GU10 spotlight housed in a white powder-coated metal body with an adjustable head mounted on a 130mm square backplate. The spotlight head tilts and rotates on a central joint, allowing the beam to be directed at artwork, reading positions, kitchen worktops, or used as accent lighting on architectural features. The fitting accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 50W (sold separately) and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable GU10 bulb.
Designed for both wall and ceiling installation, the Glim works in kitchens as supplementary task light above counters, in living rooms to highlight artwork or alcoves, in bedrooms as reading light beside the bed, and in hallways to wash light down a feature wall. The 20mm height of the backplate sits close to the mounting surface, giving a low-profile presence that does not dominate smaller rooms. The 120mm projection from the wall or ceiling provides clearance to direct the beam without the fitting itself casting shadows.
The white powder-coated finish over metal gives a clean, matte surface that pairs with light-toned interiors and contemporary schemes. The GU10 fitting is a standard UK lamp type, making replacement bulbs widely available in a range of colour temperatures, beam angles and wattages. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED GU10 at 5-7W and 2700K-3000K for ambient accent light, or a cooler 4000K for task lighting in kitchens and workspaces.

Frequently Asked
Is the Glim dimmable?
Yes, the fitting itself supports dimming. However, you must use a dimmable GU10 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail when used with a dimmer.
Can it be mounted on the ceiling as well as the wall?
Yes. The Glim installs onto either a wall or ceiling surface. The adjustable head allows the beam to be directed regardless of mounting orientation, making it versatile for accent lighting, wall washing, or downward task light.
What bulb does it take?
The spotlight takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 50W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a 5-7W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for general accent lighting, or 4000K for task lighting in kitchens.
What does the IP20 rating mean?
IP20 indicates the fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It has no protection against moisture, so it cannot be used in bathrooms (unless outside zones 0, 1, and 2) or outdoors.
