Gleonis 40cm Spherical Pendant Light - White

The Gleonis is a 40cm spherical pendant light with a matt white polycarbonate diffuser textured to resemble handmade paper, suspended on a white fabric-covered cable. A single E27 bulb fitting sits inside the sphere, with the light diffused evenly through the polycarbonate shell. The textured coating on the diffuser softens the light output and hides the bulb filament from view when lit.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with standard ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m, the Gleonis works as a single centrepiece over a 4-person table or in clusters of two or three over longer islands. The 2000mm cable length allows the drop to be adjusted on installation, with typical hanging heights of 700-900mm above a worktop or dining surface. The sphere housing is constructed from impact-resistant polycarbonate rather than glass, making it lighter and more resistant to knocks during cleaning or bulb changes.

The matt white finish and paper-effect texture give the Gleonis a soft visual presence in contemporary, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors without the stark brightness of a smooth white globe. The E27 fitting accepts any standard bulb up to 60W equivalent, and the pendant is compatible with most leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmer switches when paired with a dimmable LED bulb. The fabric cable conceals the electrical core and runs cleanly to the ceiling rose without requiring additional cable management.

Is this dimmable?

The pendant itself is dimmable-compatible. When paired with a dimmable E27 LED bulb, it works with most leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmer switches. Check the bulb packaging to confirm dimmer compatibility before installation.

What bulb does it take?

The Gleonis takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W equivalent. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and living spaces.

What size table does it suit?

The 40cm diameter works as a single pendant over a 4-person dining table (typically 120-140cm long) or in pairs over a 6-8 person table. For kitchen islands, one Gleonis suits a 1.2-1.5m island, two suit a 2-2.5m island.

Is the diffuser glass or plastic?

The diffuser is polycarbonate, a durable impact-resistant plastic with a textured paper-effect coating. This makes it lighter than glass and less prone to breaking if knocked during cleaning or bulb changes.
