Description

The Gleara is a 280mm-wide LED pendant light built around three stacked glass elements: a glossy white ovoid at the top, a transparent grey blown glass sphere in the centre, and a glossy white flattened disc at the base. An integrated 27W 3000K LED sits inside the base disc, casting warm white light downward through the white glass while the transparent sphere adds visual depth to the silhouette. A matt-painted metal frame connects the glass elements with chrome collar rings separating each section.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and breakfast bars with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Gleara hangs on a 2000mm transparent PVC cable from a matching metal ceiling rose. The 712mm overall height of the glass assembly positions the base disc 700-900mm above a worktop or table depending on installation, providing direct task light without glare at eye level when seated. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor locations only.

The stacked glass configuration gives the pendant a vertical presence that works over narrow tables and peninsulas where a wider multi-light fitting would overwhelm the space. The glossy white finish on the top and bottom glass elements contrasts with the transparent grey sphere, creating a layered effect when viewed from the side. The 27W LED delivers 3000K warm white light and is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed output on standard switching.

Is the Gleara dimmable?

No. The integrated 27W LED runs at a fixed output and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The pendant requires standard on/off switching only.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 2000mm cable allows the pendant to be shortened during installation. For positioning 700-900mm above a dining table or worktop, a ceiling height of 2.4m or above is recommended. The cable can be trimmed to suit lower ceilings if needed.

Can the pendant be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Gleara is suitable for dry indoor locations only and must not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor covered areas.

How is the glass cleaned?

Wipe the glossy white elements with a damp microfibre cloth and a small amount of glass cleaner. The transparent grey blown glass sphere can be cleaned the same way. Switch off and allow the LED to cool before cleaning.
