Description

The Glacia is a 460mm round ceiling canopy in brushed brass, designed to support up to five pendant lights from a single ceiling point. Five pendant outlets are positioned evenly around the canopy face, allowing pendants to be arranged in a cluster or spread across a dining table or kitchen island without running separate ceiling feeds for each drop.

Designed for multi-pendant installations in kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces, the canopy centralises the electrical connection while distributing the pendant cables across the surface area. This gives the appearance of multiple independent ceiling points without the cost and disruption of chasing in separate cables. The canopy mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose and conceals the junction box and cable connections behind the brass plate.

The brushed brass finish shows directional grain lines that soften reflections and pair with both warm-toned and contemporary interiors. The metal plate is fabricated from steel with a brass coating, giving structural rigidity while keeping the overall weight manageable for ceiling mounting. The five outlet positions are threaded to accept standard pendant cable grips, and the canopy sits approximately 15mm proud of the ceiling once installed.

The canopy has five pendant outlet points. You can use all five or leave some unused depending on your installation. The structural load capacity depends on the combined weight of the pendants — consult a qualified electrician if the total pendant weight exceeds 3kg.

Does it require special wiring?

The canopy connects to a standard UK ceiling rose and accepts up to five pendant cables. An electrician will typically wire the pendants in parallel from the single feed, so no special wiring is required beyond standard pendant installation practice.

What pendant cable diameter does it accept?

The outlet grips accept standard pendant flex, typically between 5-8mm diameter. If you're using thicker braided or fabric-covered cables, check the grip compatibility before ordering.

Can it be mounted on a sloped ceiling?

The canopy is designed for flat ceilings. On a sloped ceiling the plate will sit at an angle, which may affect the visual alignment of the pendant drops. Some installers use a packing piece behind one edge to level the canopy on shallow slopes.
