Glacia 3 Light Round Ceiling Canopy - Matt Black 300mm

The Glacia is a 300mm diameter round ceiling canopy designed to support three pendant lights from a single ceiling point. The canopy is made from metal with a matt black finish and provides three evenly-spaced cable exit points around a central ceiling rose fixing, allowing three pendant cables to drop from one power source without needing separate ceiling fixings for each light.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallways where a cluster of three pendant lights creates better light distribution than a single central fitting, the Glacia canopy simplifies installation by consolidating the ceiling connection point. The canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the three pendant cables feed through grommeted exit points to protect the cable sheathing. The 300mm diameter provides enough span to spread three pendants across a 1.2-1.8m area when the cables drop vertically.

The matt black finish sits flat against most ceiling colours without creating harsh reflections and pairs with black pendant cables and fittings to maintain a consistent visual line from ceiling to light source. What pendant cables does this work with?

The canopy accepts standard pendant cable sets with a maximum cable diameter of approximately 10mm. The three exit points are grommeted to protect the cable sheathing. Most UK pendant cable sets with fabric or PVC outer sheaths are compatible.

Does it come with a ceiling rose or electrical fittings?

No. The canopy is a decorative cover that conceals a standard UK ceiling rose and provides three cable exit points. You will need a ceiling rose, terminal block or WAGO connector box rated for the combined load of three pendants, installed by a qualified electrician before fitting the canopy.

How far apart will the three pendants hang?

The exit points are evenly spaced around the 300mm diameter canopy. When the cables drop vertically, the three pendants will sit approximately 150-200mm apart at the canopy level. The spacing at shade level depends on the cable length and whether the cables are angled outwards or left vertical.

Can it support heavy glass pendant shades?

The metal construction supports the combined weight of three typical pendant shades. For heavy glass shades over 2kg each, check that your ceiling rose or junction box is securely fixed to a joist or ceiling batten rather than just plasterboard, as the canopy transmits the weight to the ceiling fixing point.
