Galaxia 12cm White Concrete Pendant Light - E27

The Galaxia is a 12cm diameter spherical pendant light cast from white concrete with a matt finish. The lower hemisphere is open, exposing a single E27 socket that accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately). The white concrete shell diffuses light upward and sideways while the open base directs light downward, creating a combination of ambient and task illumination depending on the bulb chosen.

Designed for cluster installations above kitchen islands, dining tables and in entrance halls, the Galaxia works as a single pendant in smaller rooms or in groups of three, five or seven pendants at staggered heights. The drop is adjustable between 210mm minimum and 3210mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be positioned anywhere from 600mm above a worktop to multiple metres down a double-height stairwell. The white concrete canopy conceals the cable entry point and fits standard UK ceiling roses.

Each pendant weighs 1.2kg due to the solid concrete construction, giving the fitting physical presence without requiring reinforced ceiling fixings for single installations. The white matt finish on the concrete softens reflections and pairs with both cool-toned greys and warm whites in contemporary, Scandinavian and industrial interiors. The concrete is porous and will show minor surface variation between individual pieces depending on the batch the material was mixed in.

What bulb does the Galaxia take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations pair this with a 6-10W warm-white LED bulb at 2700K-3000K, or a visible-filament decorative bulb where the open base makes the bulb part of the design.

Is the Galaxia dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself has no electronics — dimming depends entirely on the bulb and wall dimmer you choose.

Can multiple Galaxia pendants be installed together?

Yes. The pendant is designed to work in cluster installations at varying drop heights. Groups of three, five or seven pendants are common above kitchen islands and dining tables, with each pendant on its own cable drop adjusted to create a staggered arrangement.

How is the concrete cleaned?

Concrete is porous and absorbs moisture and oils. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the material and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners.
