Description

The Fort Smart Alarm Booster extends the wireless range of ESP smart alarm systems by receiving and re-transmitting 433MHz RF signals between the hub and remote sensors. USB powered with a rechargeable backup battery, the booster handles up to 80 metres of open-field transmission distance, allowing sensors to be placed further from the hub in larger properties or installations with thick walls and multiple floors.

Designed for use with the ESP Smart Alarm Hub (ECSPHB), the booster sits between the hub and sensors that would otherwise be out of range or suffer weak signal strength. It plugs into any USB power source via the included cable and maintains charge in the internal backup battery, which takes over automatically during mains power loss. The compact 93mm x 30mm x 135mm housing can be wall-mounted or placed on a shelf in a hallway, landing or utility room midway between the hub and the remote sensors.

The three LED indicators on the front panel show power status, RF signal activity and battery charge level, providing visual confirmation that the booster is receiving and transmitting signals correctly. The white finish pairs with standard ESP alarm sensors and keeps the unit discreet in residential and light commercial installations. The booster does not require programming or pairing beyond initial setup via the ESP app.

Frequently Asked

What is the transmission range?

The booster extends RF signal range up to 80 metres in open-field conditions. Actual range indoors depends on wall construction, number of floors and interference from other wireless devices. Brick, concrete and metal significantly reduce effective range.

Does it work with other alarm systems?

No. The Fort Smart Alarm Booster operates on 433MHz and is designed specifically for ESP smart alarm systems. It requires the ESP Smart Alarm Hub (ECSPHB) and will not pair with alarm systems from other manufacturers.

How long does the backup battery last?

The rechargeable backup battery maintains booster operation during mains power loss. Battery runtime depends on signal activity and charge level, but typically provides several hours of continued operation. The battery recharges automatically when USB power is restored.

Where should the booster be positioned?

Position the booster midway between the hub and the remote sensors that are out of range or experiencing weak signal. A hallway, landing or utility room location often provides the best coverage. Avoid positioning near large metal objects or thick concrete walls that block RF signals.
