Description

The Fort Smart Alarm Proximity Tag is a 60mm x 45mm wireless keyring fob that pairs with ESP Fort smart alarm systems to provide automatic arm and disarm functionality based on proximity. Each tag communicates with the alarm panel via short-range wireless, allowing the system to detect when an authorised user enters or leaves the premises and adjust the alarm state accordingly without manual code entry.

Designed for residential and small commercial installations where multiple users need access without sharing a single PIN code, the tags eliminate the need to remember and enter codes at the panel each time the building is entered or exited. The system recognises each tag individually, allowing different users to be tracked and different access permissions to be assigned. This pack contains two tags, enough for a household with two primary users or a small office with front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

Each tag measures 60mm tall by 45mm wide and 15mm deep, with a keyring hole at the top for attachment to keys, bags or lanyards. The matt black plastic housing carries embossed 'Fort' branding and weighs 8g, light enough to sit on a standard keyring without adding noticeable bulk. The tags require no battery replacement or charging during their operational life, using passive RFID technology powered by the proximity field from the alarm panel's receiver.

Frequently Asked

Do the tags need batteries?

No. The tags use passive RFID technology and are powered by the proximity field from the alarm panel's receiver when within range. They require no battery replacement or charging during normal use.

What range do they work at?

Proximity tags typically activate within 50-150mm of the panel's reader, depending on the specific Fort alarm model and environmental factors. They are designed for close-range detection at entry points, not remote triggering from across a room.

Can I add more tags to my system?

Yes. Most ESP Fort alarm panels support multiple proximity tags, with the exact number depending on the panel model. Additional tags can be enrolled through the panel's programming menu. Check your alarm panel's manual for the maximum tag capacity.

Are they compatible with all ESP Fort alarms?

These tags are designed for ESP Fort smart alarm systems that include proximity tag support. Check your alarm panel's specification or manual to confirm proximity tag compatibility before purchasing.
