Description
The ESP Fort is a wireless external siren for smart alarm systems, combining a 228mm x 201mm white ABS housing with a red flash lens along the lower edge. Solar charging via a panel integrated into the top surface eliminates the need for mains wiring, with a backup rechargeable battery maintaining operation during low-light periods. The siren pairs wirelessly with compatible ESP smart alarm control panels.
Designed for outdoor mounting on building facades, gable ends and boundary walls, the Fort carries an IP44 rating for protection against solid objects above 1mm and splashing water from any direction. This makes it suitable for installation under eaves, on sheltered wall sections, and in positions where direct rainfall and wind-driven rain are minimised. The red flash provides visual alert during alarm activation, while the internal sounder delivers an audible alarm.
The 109mm depth projects from the wall once mounted, with fixings typically concealed behind the front cover. The solar panel charges the internal battery during daylight, with the battery capacity sized to maintain siren operation through several days of overcast weather. Wireless connectivity removes the need for cable runs between the siren and the control panel, simplifying retrofit installations where running new wiring would be disruptive.

Frequently Asked
Does the solar panel fully power the siren?
The solar panel charges an internal rechargeable battery, which powers the siren. During normal daylight conditions the panel maintains battery charge, with the battery providing backup during night-time, overcast weather and alarm activation. See the product manual for specific battery capacity and solar charging specifications.
Is it weatherproof for fully exposed outdoor use?
The siren carries an IP44 rating, which protects against splashing water from any direction but not sustained rainfall or direct water jets. Install under eaves or on sheltered wall sections where the unit is not exposed to heavy rain or wind-driven moisture.
Which alarm systems is it compatible with?
The Fort is designed for use with ESP smart alarm control panels. Check the product manual or contact us to confirm compatibility with your specific control panel model before ordering.
How is the siren mounted?
The unit mounts to an external wall using fixings through the rear housing, with the front cover concealing the fixings once installed. Wall plugs and screws suitable for brick, block or timber framing are typically required depending on the wall construction.
