The Forest is a 6 light semi-flush ceiling light built around branching brown/black oxide metal arms extending from a central 460mm diameter ceiling plate, each arm terminating in a hand-crafted amber frosted glass shade. The glass shades show a fluted, petal-like texture that appears to spiral around each bulb holder, resembling peeled or twisted organic forms. Each shade houses a G9 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately).

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights, the 380mm drop from ceiling to lowest point of the shades keeps the fitting clear of head height while providing a sculptural presence. The six arms radiate outward in an asymmetric arrangement, giving the fitting a branching, nature-inspired silhouette when viewed from below. The semi-flush mount means the fitting sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging on a long drop, making it suitable for rooms where a full pendant would be impractical.

The brown/black oxide finish on the metalwork provides a dark, weathered tone that contrasts with the warm amber glow transmitted through the frosted glass. Each glass shade is individually hand-made, so the exact pattern of fluting and spiral detail varies slightly between pieces. Is the Forest dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but standard non-dimmable G9 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What bulbs does it take?

The Forest takes six G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit LED G9 bulbs rated at 3-5W in warm white (2700K-3000K) to complement the amber glass.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 380mm drop from ceiling to the lowest point of the shades works in rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights, leaving approximately 2m clearance below the fitting. Lower ceilings may find the fitting intrusive; higher ceilings can accommodate it comfortably.

Are the glass shades identical?

No. Each shade is hand-crafted, so the exact spiral and fluting pattern varies slightly between individual pieces. This is a characteristic of the artisan production method, not a defect.
