Description

The Focus is a single-head LED spotlight with a 52mm diameter cylindrical body in white powder-coated aluminium, surface-mounted to the ceiling on a 52mm circular base. The spotlight housing tilts and rotates on a ball joint inside the base, allowing the 12W integrated LED to be directed at artwork, architectural features, or onto specific zones within a room. The LED delivers 3000K warm white light through a recessed lens set behind a metal trim ring.

Designed for accent lighting in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and retail environments, the Focus works as a standalone feature over a console table or grouped in multiples to create gallery-style wall washing. The surface-mounted design means no ceiling recess is required, making it suitable for solid concrete ceilings, timber beams, or situations where cutting into the ceiling structure is not practical. The 160mm projection from the ceiling sits lower than a typical pendant but higher than a flush ceiling fitting, positioning the light source closer to vertical surfaces.

The aluminium body is finished in a powder-coated white that matches standard trade white ceiling paint, allowing the spotlight to blend into white ceilings or stand as a deliberate contrast on darker finishes. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments. The wide 165-265V AC input range accommodates voltage variations and international use. Is the spotlight head adjustable?

Yes. The cylindrical housing tilts and rotates on a ball joint inside the ceiling base, allowing the light to be aimed at walls, artwork or specific areas of the room. The adjustment is done by hand after installation.

Can this be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the spotlight is suitable only for dry indoor environments. For bathroom zones 1 and 2, an IP44 or higher rated fitting is required.

Is the LED replaceable?

The 12W LED is integrated into the spotlight body and is not user-replaceable. Maytoni provides a 5-year warranty covering the LED and housing, and the LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use.

What ceiling fixing is needed?

The spotlight mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose or junction box using the 52mm circular base plate. Two screws fix the base to the ceiling, and the mains cable connects inside the base before the spotlight body is clipped on.
