Description

The Focus is a 12W magnetic track spotlight with DALI dimming and adjustable colour temperature from 2700K warm white to 6000K cool white, housed in a cylindrical white aluminium body measuring 52mm diameter by 194mm height. The integrated LED operates on a 48V DC low-voltage system and attaches magnetically to compatible track rails, allowing the spotlight to be repositioned along the track without tools or re-wiring.

Designed for retail, gallery, office and residential track lighting installations where precise light control and colour temperature flexibility are required, the Focus pairs DALI addressable dimming with continuous colour temperature adjustment. This allows each spotlight on a DALI-controlled track system to be set to different brightness levels and colour temperatures independently, creating layered lighting schemes where warm accent light can run alongside cool task light on the same track. The magnetic mounting system means the spotlight can be moved, added or removed from the track rail while the system is live.

The white powder-coated aluminium body provides a neutral backdrop that recedes visually in gallery and retail settings where the focus should remain on the illuminated objects rather than the fittings themselves. The cylindrical housing rotates 355° horizontally and tilts vertically, giving full directional control once the spotlight is positioned on the track. The black inner baffle around the lens aperture reduces internal reflections and tightens the beam throw. The IP20 rating limits the Focus to dry indoor environments only.

DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is a two-wire control protocol that allows each spotlight to be individually addressed and programmed via a DALI controller or building management system. This makes the Focus suited to commercial installations requiring scene programming, daylight harvesting integration, or coordinated dimming across multiple zones. Residential installations can use simpler DALI dimmers for manual control without the need for full building automation.

The Focus uses a magnetic mounting system compatible with Maytoni's Exility magnetic track rails running at 48V DC. It will not fit standard mains-voltage track systems or other manufacturers' magnetic track without verification of voltage and mounting compatibility.

How is the colour temperature adjusted?

Colour temperature adjustment requires a DALI controller or DALI-compatible dimmer that supports CCT (correlated colour temperature) control. The controller sends digital commands to the spotlight to shift the LED array between 2700K and 6000K. Manual wall dimmers without DALI CCT support will only control brightness, not colour temperature.

Can the spotlight be repositioned while the track is powered?
