Description
The Fluxis is a 277mm diameter LED flush ceiling light with a matt black metal drum housing a satin polycarbonate diffuser and an integrated 3000K LED. The low-profile design sits approximately 80mm below the ceiling, making it suitable for rooms with standard or lower ceiling heights where pendant or semi-flush fittings would hang too far into headroom.
Designed for hallways, landings, small bedrooms, cloakrooms and utility rooms, the Fluxis provides ambient light across a 6-10m² floor area depending on room proportions and ceiling height. The satin polycarbonate diffuser spreads light evenly across the ceiling and down into the room, reducing the hard shadows and glare that can come from exposed LED boards. The IP20 rating limits use to dry interior spaces only — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor covered areas.
The matt black finish on the metal body absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping the fitting visually recessive against white or light-coloured ceilings. The drum profile is clean-edged and minimal, pairing with industrial, mid-century and contemporary interiors without adding decorative detail. The integrated LED is factory-fitted and non-replaceable, rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use at typical domestic duty cycles.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating limits the Fluxis to dry interior spaces only. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher for zones 1 and 2, and IP65 for zone 0. Use this in hallways, bedrooms, landings or utility rooms instead.
Is the LED dimmable?
No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. Installing the Fluxis on a dimmed circuit may cause flickering or failure to illuminate.
What size room does it suit?
The 277mm diameter and integrated LED output suit rooms of approximately 6-10m² floor area — typical hallways, small bedrooms, cloakrooms and landings. Larger rooms may need two fittings or a higher-output alternative.
Can the LED be replaced when it fails?
No. The LED is integrated and factory-fitted. When the LED reaches end-of-life (typically 30,000 hours under normal domestic use), the entire fitting is replaced. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.
