The Fluxia-1 is a single-light pendant from Ideal Lux with a ribbed smoked glass shade measuring 140mm in diameter and 235mm in height, suspended from a satin brass canopy on a black fabric cable. The glass forms a barrel shape with vertical ribbing that runs the full height of the shade, refracting light through the smoked tint and creating vertical shadow patterns on interior surfaces when lit.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and entrance halls, the Fluxia-1 works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above where the 2000mm cable drop can be adjusted on installation to sit 700-900mm above the worktop or table surface depending on the room. The smoked glass reduces glare while allowing the bulb filament to remain visible through the tint, making it well-suited to decorative LED filament bulbs. The E27 fitting accepts bulbs up to 60W and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and bulb.

The satin brass canopy provides a warmer metallic accent than chrome or nickel, pairing well with the smoked glass in both contemporary and transitional interiors. The ribbed glass diffuses the light evenly while the vertical grooves create texture and visual interest when viewed from different angles. Can the cable length be adjusted?

Yes. The 2000mm cable can be shortened during installation to suit your ceiling height and the desired hanging position above a table or worktop. Most installers set the pendant 700-900mm above the surface.

What's the difference between smoked glass and clear glass?

Smoked glass has a grey or brown tint that reduces glare and softens the light output compared to clear glass. It also makes the bulb filament less bright when viewed directly, while still allowing the decorative shape of the bulb to be visible through the shade.
