Description

The Flux large connector is a 100mm aluminium joining piece for linking sections of Flux linear lighting track into continuous runs. The connector slots between adjacent track sections and holds them in alignment, maintaining electrical continuity and creating a seamless visual line. The brushed aluminium finish matches the Flux track profile and sits flush with the track housing once installed.

Designed for commercial, retail and residential installations where linear lighting runs exceed the single-track length or where configurations require corners or junctions, the connector enables longer continuous runs without visible gaps or misalignment. The 20mm projection from the ceiling line matches the standard Flux track depth, so the connector does not create a step or bulge in the installed run. Installation requires no tools beyond those used for the track itself — the connector clips into the track channel and locks into place.

The aluminium construction provides rigidity without adding significant weight to the suspended run, allowing tracks to remain level across spans of 2-4m between ceiling fixings. The brushed finish hides minor surface marks and fingerprints during handling and installation, maintaining a clean appearance once the system is live. The connector is rated for the same 5-year warranty period as the Flux track system itself, confirming that it meets the same build and material standards as the primary track components.

The large 100mm connector is designed specifically for the Flux linear lighting system from Ideal Lux. It fits the standard Flux track profile and maintains electrical continuity between sections. Confirm that your existing track is part of the Flux range before ordering.

How many connectors are needed for a typical installation?

One connector is required for each join between two track sections. For example, linking three 1m tracks into a 3m continuous run requires two connectors. Corner or T-junction configurations require dedicated corner connectors rather than straight connectors.

Does the connector carry electrical current?

Yes. The connector maintains electrical continuity between track sections, allowing LED modules or fittings to be positioned anywhere along the joined run without interruption. The connector does not require separate wiring — it transfers current through the track channel itself.

Can the connector be removed and repositioned?

The connector clips into the track channel and can be released by reversing the installation process. This allows reconfiguration of track layouts or replacement of individual sections without needing to replace the connector itself.
