Description

The Flux is a 1200mm linear wall light with an integrated 32W LED strip running the length of a matt black aluminium housing. The LED produces 3000K warm white light that casts downward and upward from the narrow apertures along the top and bottom edges of the profile, creating a wall-wash effect on both sides. The fitting projects 95mm from the wall and is designed for surface mounting on plaster, brick or timber substrates.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, commercial corridors and above kitchen worktops where continuous linear light is needed, the Flux provides both task illumination and architectural accent lighting. The 1200mm length suits walls where a single fitting can replace multiple spotlights or wall sconces, and the dimmable LED allows brightness adjustment from full output down to low ambient levels. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations away from moisture.

The aluminium housing is powder-coated in matt black with a low-sheen finish that minimises glare and fingerprints. At 32W output and 3000K colour temperature, the LED produces approximately 3,200 lumens of warm white light, sufficient to illuminate a 4-5m hallway or a 3m run of kitchen worktop without additional fittings. The LED is rated for 30,000 hours of operation and cannot be replaced — the entire fitting is replaced at end of life. Ideal Lux backs this model with a 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects and LED failure.

Yes. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model — contact us before pairing with an existing dimmer to confirm.

No. The LED is integrated into the housing and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for 30,000 hours of operation, which is approximately 10 years at 8 hours per day. At end of life, the entire fitting is replaced.

What direction does the light cast?

The Flux casts light both upward and downward from narrow apertures along the top and bottom edges of the aluminium profile, creating a wall-wash effect on both sides of the fitting. It does not cast light forward into the room.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens within splash zones, or any location where moisture or water contact is possible.
