Description

The Flairix is a 128mm round recessed downlight moulded from gypsum plaster, finished in white and designed to sit flush with the ceiling once installed. The fitting accepts a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) and is compatible with dimmer switches, allowing the light level to be adjusted from full brightness down to low ambient output depending on the bulb and dimmer pairing.

Designed for residential and commercial installations where recessed lighting provides a cleaner alternative to surface-mounted fittings, the Flairix suits living rooms, hallways, kitchens and office spaces with solid ceilings. The 128mm diameter opening requires a minimum ceiling void depth of 45mm above the plaster layer to accommodate the lamp holder assembly and the GU10 bulb. The plaster construction allows the fitting to be painted over once installed, so the downlight can be matched exactly to the ceiling finish.

The white plaster body diffuses a small amount of light around the rim of the fitting when the bulb is lit, softening the edge between the downlight and the ceiling. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms or outdoor use. The fixed orientation means the light direction cannot be adjusted once the fitting is installed, so positioning should be planned during the wiring stage.
