Firenze Outdoor 1 Light Hanging Lantern - Black

The Firenze is an outdoor chain pendant with a black metal bell-shaped shade suspended above a teardrop clear glass diffuser, hung on a black chain adjustable between 525mm and 1020mm drop. The fitting carries an IP54 rating, protecting the E27 lampholder from dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for covered porches, verandas, gazebos and pergolas.

Designed for outdoor residential use where overhead cover exists, the Firenze directs light downward through the clear glass drop while the metal bell shade blocks upward light spill. The chain suspension allows the pendant to be installed at the desired height during fitting, typically 2-2.3m above floor level for porch entries or seating areas under a covered outdoor structure. Can this be used in fully exposed outdoor locations?

The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes but is designed for covered outdoor areas such as porches, verandas and gazebos. For fully exposed locations with direct rain exposure, a higher IP rating (IP65 or above) would be more appropriate.

What bulb type works best with this pendant?

The clear glass drop makes the bulb visible from below, so decorative filament LED bulbs in warm white (2700K) are popular. The E27 socket accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W, including globe, candle and standard A-shape bulbs.

What ceiling height is needed for installation?

With a minimum drop of 525mm and typical clearance requirements, a ceiling height of at least 2.3-2.4m is recommended. The adjustable chain allows the pendant to be raised to a maximum 1020mm drop where ceiling height permits.

How is the drop adjusted?

The chain length is set during installation by removing excess links before final wiring. Once installed, the drop is fixed at the chosen length and cannot be adjusted without re-accessing the canopy.
