Description

The Fermi is a 5-light cluster pendant with five polished gold dome shades suspended from an oval ceiling plate measuring 91cm × 62cm. Each dome is formed from metal finished in a mirror-polished gold and paired with a clear glass lower hemisphere that houses a ring of small crystal droplets. The five pendants hang at staggered heights, with the central dome sitting lower than the four surrounding globes.

Designed for installation over dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Fermi provides both ambient and decorative light. Each pendant takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately), and the adjustable cable drops allow the cluster to be configured between 35cm and 95cm from the ceiling on installation. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor use only.

The polished gold finish reflects both natural daylight and evening artificial light, creating variable tonal shifts across the metal domes depending on the time of day and bulb colour temperature chosen. The clear glass lower sections reveal the crystal droplets inside each globe, which refract light from the bulbs into small prismatic patterns. The combined weight of the five metal and glass shades plus the oval ceiling plate gives the cluster a substantial presence suited to rooms with proportionally high ceilings and open floor plans.

What bulbs does the Fermi take?

Each of the five pendants takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this cluster with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the gold finish.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The cable drops are adjustable between 35cm and 95cm during installation. Once the cables are cut to length and the pendant is wired, further adjustment requires re-cutting the cables and re-wiring.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 91cm × 62cm ceiling plate and staggered globe arrangement suit rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. For dining table installation the cluster typically hangs 70-80cm above the table surface, requiring approximately 2.5-2.7m ceiling height in total.

Can the Fermi be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor use, or any location where moisture is present.
