Fermi 30cm Dome Pendant Light with Crystal - Polished Nickel & Clear Glass

The Fermi is a 30cm dome pendant light combining a polished nickel upper dome with a clear glass lower hemisphere and cut crystal droplets suspended inside the glass. The nickel dome acts as a reflector, directing light downwards through the glass and crystal array. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits above the crystals, creating refracted light patterns across the clear glass and onto surrounding surfaces.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with standard ceiling heights, the Fermi suits spaces where decorative task lighting is needed rather than ambient fill. The adjustable cable allows the pendant to hang between 36cm and 105cm from the ceiling, letting it sit 700-800mm above a dining table surface or 900-1000mm above a kitchen worktop depending on room height. The polished nickel canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The 30cm diameter gives the Fermi a presence over a 1.2-1.5m table without overwhelming smaller dining areas. The polished nickel finish shows reflections and pairs with cool-toned interiors, stainless steel appliances and chrome or brushed steel fixtures. The clear glass hemisphere shows the internal crystal array whether the light is on or off, turning the fitting into a decorative piece during daylight hours. The E27 fitting accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W, allowing control over colour temperature and brightness.

What bulb does the Fermi take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to show the crystal refraction without harsh glare.

Is the Fermi dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen. LED bulbs marked as dimmable work with most modern LED-compatible dimmers. The fitting itself has no electronic components that would prevent dimming.

What height should it hang above a dining table?

For a standard dining table, hang the Fermi 700-800mm above the table surface. This keeps the pendant within the sightline without causing glare for seated diners. The adjustable cable accommodates ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The crystal droplets sit inside the sealed glass hemisphere. To clean, switch off power, unscrew the glass lower from the nickel dome, and wipe crystals gently with a dry microfibre cloth. The glass can be cleaned with standard glass cleaner once removed from the fitting.
