Fine steel mesh forms the body of our Faraday Pendant Lampshade, a wide flattened shade held together by a visible band that runs round the middle. It is made from steel and glass, with the mesh giving an open weave rather than a solid, smooth surface. Light passes through the fine metal to throw a softer, dappled cast across a room, and the Steel colour keeps the whole thing quiet and grey rather than showy. At 60.4cm in diameter and 26cm tall in this Large size, it has real presence without weighing much, coming in at 2.1kg.

This pendant lampshade suits the spaces where people gather. It sits well above a dining table, over a kitchen island or in a hallway where its width can spread the light out. The flattened form means it hangs low without dominating, and the open mesh stops it feeling heavy overhead. It takes an E27 bulb up to 15W LED, which is not included, so you can pick the warmth and brightness that suits the room.
