Description
The Facet is a 25cm crystal wall light built around a cylindrical block of cut crystal with architectural faceting across its surface, mounted on a polished chrome backplate. A single E14 bulb inside the crystal casts light through the faceted planes, creating refractive patterns and shadow play across adjacent walls and ceilings. The chrome mount sits flush to the wall with visible fixings concealed behind the backplate.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living room accent positions, the Facet provides ambient rather than task light, with the crystal itself acting as both diffuser and decorative element. The 13cm width and 10cm projection suit narrow hallways and alcoves where a pendant would intrude on headroom. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations away from bathroom zones.
The crystal block weighs approximately 1.2kg and shows different refractive qualities depending on the angle of view and the colour temperature of the bulb used. A warm-white 2700K E14 LED produces softer golden reflections through the facets, while a cooler 4000K bulb gives sharper, brighter patterns. The polished chrome finish provides a reflective contrast to the crystal and pairs with both traditional and contemporary metalwork in the same room.
Installation requires a standard UK single-gang back box or surface pattress, with the chrome backplate covering the electrical connections. The 60W maximum rating allows for E14 LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to that output, with most users selecting a 4-6W LED for adequate brightness without glare.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Facet take?
The fitting takes a single E14 small Edison screw bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for adequate ambient light without glare through the crystal facets.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not protected against moisture and must be installed in dry indoor locations only, away from bathroom zones and other damp areas.
How is the crystal cleaned?
Wipe the crystal gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, then dry immediately with a clean soft cloth. Avoid sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners.
Does the chrome tarnish over time?
The polished chrome finish is durable and resistant to corrosion in dry indoor environments. Occasional wiping with a soft dry cloth maintains the reflective finish. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the plating.
