Etherlight 6 Light Crystal Chandelier - Red

The Etherlight is a 580mm crystal chandelier built on a red-finished metal frame with six curved arms, each holding an E14 candle bulb. Red faceted crystal droplets hang in graduated strands from the arms and central column, with larger diamond-cut pieces positioned at intervals among smaller spherical beads. The frame itself is cast and finished in a high-gloss red lacquer that matches the crystal colour.

Designed for dining rooms, hallways and double-height entrance spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the chandelier provides decorative ambient light through the six E14 bulbs (sold separately) while the crystal droplets refract and multiply the light output across walls and ceiling. The 650mm drop sits the lowest crystal approximately 2.05m above floor level when hung from a standard 2.7m ceiling, leaving clearance for head height in circulation spaces. The chandelier is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

Each crystal piece is individually hung on a metal link or pin, allowing the strands to move slightly in air currents and creating variable light reflections as the crystals shift position. The red glass is coloured throughout rather than surface-coated, so the hue remains consistent when viewed from different angles or lit from within. The metal frame carries an IP20 rating, restricting use to dry interior locations away from bathrooms and kitchens. What bulbs does the Etherlight take?

The chandelier takes six E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to balance light output with the red crystal colour. The fitting is rated for bulbs up to 40W per socket.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The 650mm drop positions the lowest crystal approximately 2.05m above floor level when hung from a 2.7m ceiling. Lower ceilings may require the suspension chain to be shortened during installation, but the chandelier cannot be reduced below approximately 500mm total height without removing crystal strands.

Can it be used in a bathroom or kitchen?

No. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry interior locations away from moisture and steam. Bathrooms, kitchens and outdoor covered areas require higher IP-rated fittings.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe individual crystal pieces with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For heavier dust, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but dry each piece immediately to prevent water spots. Do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners on the crystal or metal frame.
