The polyethylene body resists UV degradation and temperature variation better than glass or ceramic alternatives. The 1.3kg weight provides stability on flat surfaces without being heavy enough to damage table finishes.

The opal white polyethylene softens and diffuses the bulb output, creating ambient glow rather than directional task light. What bulb does it take?

The lamp takes a standard GU10 bulb (sold separately). Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED GU10 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient outdoor lighting. Check the bulb packaging for outdoor suitability and dimmer compatibility if you plan to dim the output.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with a dimmable GU10 bulb. The lamp itself is dimmer-compatible but dimming depends entirely on the bulb specification and the type of dimmer switch or controller used.

Can it be left outside year-round?

The polyethylene body resists UV and temperature variation, but storing the lamp indoors during winter or extended periods of non-use will extend its life. The IP44 rating is for operational protection, not long-term weathering in unprotected positions.
