ESP Beacon Assist Call Cancel Module IP66 - Brushed Stainless Steel

The ESP Beacon BACM66 is an IP66-rated assist call cancel module designed for installation in accessible toilets, changing places facilities, and care environments where alarm systems require a cancel function at the point of activation. The module presents a large illuminated blue 'Press to CALL' button with a matching 'Assist Call' indicator window above, both mounted behind a brushed stainless steel fascia that measures 125mm x 125mm.

The IP66 ingress protection rating makes the module suitable for wet environments including shower rooms, accessible toilets subject to washdown cleaning, and outdoor accessible facilities where moisture ingress is a concern. The module is designed to integrate with compliant emergency call systems in healthcare, hospitality, education and public buildings, providing both the initial call function and a visual confirmation that the call has been registered. The surface mount box is included in the package, allowing the module to be fitted onto solid walls without back box preparation.

The brushed stainless steel fascia resists corrosion in damp environments and provides a hard-wearing surface that stands up to repeated use in high-traffic accessible facilities. The module is fully compliant with BS8300, the British Standard for inclusive design in buildings, which specifies requirements for accessible alarm systems including button size, contrast, tactile identification and visual indication. What does IP66 mean in practice?

IP66 means the module is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand powerful water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for wet rooms, shower areas, and accessible toilets that are cleaned with hose-down methods or pressure washers.

Is the surface mount box included?

Yes. The surface mount box ships with the module, allowing installation onto solid walls, tiled surfaces or plasterboard without needing to cut a back box recess. The box projects 85mm from the wall when fitted.

What alarm systems is this compatible with?

Where should this be installed?

BS8300 specifies that assist call points in accessible toilets should be positioned within easy reach of someone who has fallen or is seated on the WC. Typical installation height is 100-200mm above finished floor level on the wall adjacent to the WC, allowing activation from a seated or lying position.
