Description

The Erich is a 2-light wall light built around two white opal glass globe shades mounted on a polished brass arm and backplate. Each globe houses an E14 bulb (sold separately) up to 40W, and the opal glass diffuses the light to produce a soft, even glow without visible filament or LED points.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living room accent positions and either side of a mirror or headboard, the Erich provides mid-level ambient light rather than task lighting. The 33cm arm length gives the fitting enough projection to clear a bedside table or sideboard, while the 36cm height spreads light vertically across a wall section. The IP20 rating restricts this fitting to dry indoor areas only.

The polished brass finish on the metal frame brings warm metallic tones that pair well with both traditional interiors and warmer-toned contemporary schemes. The two globes sit on opposite ends of a horizontal arm, creating a balanced symmetry that works well in pairs flanking a central feature such as a bed, a doorway or a mirror. The metal construction and glass shades give the fitting a combined weight that requires fixing into solid masonry or a stud wall rather than plasterboard alone.

Each globe takes one E14 small Edison screw bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to match the brass tone.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means this fitting is suitable for dry indoor areas only and must not be installed in bathrooms, shower rooms, or any area where it may be exposed to moisture or splashing.

What fixing does it require?

The metal frame and glass globes create a combined weight that requires fixing into solid masonry or a wall stud. Plasterboard-only fixing is not recommended without additional reinforcement such as cavity anchors or a mounting board fixed to studs.

How far does it project from the wall?

The arm extends 33cm from the backplate to the centre of the furthest globe. Including the globe diameter, the total projection is approximately 45cm, so the fitting needs clearance space in front of it.
