Description

At 45cm tall with a generous 75cm diameter, our X-Large Eos lampshade is the second largest in the Eos range, and it makes a real impression in a room with the ceiling height to carry it. This rounded shade sits wider than it is tall, so it reads as a soft cloud of feathers rather than a hard sphere. It weighs just 0.947kg, which keeps it light on a pendant flex, a floor lamp or a table lamp base. If you want the same shape at a smaller scale, the Eos also comes in Micro, Mini, Medium and Large sizes.

Each X-Large shade holds approximately 5400 goose feathers, layered by hand over a textile and steel frame. The feathers we use meet the RDS Standard, so we can account for their sourcing. This one comes in Light Grey, a quiet neutral that settles into most schemes without pulling attention, and the textile it draws on gives that soft matt tone across the whole surface. The finished shade is soft and slightly irregular, never smooth, and the light passes through it to give a warm, diffused glow rather than a harsh point of brightness.

It fits an E27 fitting and takes a max 15W LED bulb, which we recommend you buy separately so you can pick the warmth you prefer. A lower Kelvin value near 2700K suits the feathered look best, keeping the glow gentle. Assembly takes around 5 minutes, and we provide a short video to walk you through it, so you are not left guessing. Because this is an indoor lampshade, we would ask you to keep it to interior rooms only and away from damp.
