Description

Our Eos Lampshade Micro in Light Grey begins with approximately 500 goose feathers gathered over a textile and steel structure, and each one holds its shape without weighing much at all. The finished piece tips the scales at just 0.097kg, so the feathers do the visible work while the steel simply keeps them in place. We source these feathers to the RDS Standard, which matters to us because it tells you where the down and feather come from and how the birds are treated. The soft Light Grey covering draws on the same textile references we use across the range, giving the shade a quiet, muted tone that settles easily into a room.

Look closely and you will see this is a rounded shade of layered feathers, wider than tall rather than a smooth sphere. At the Micro size it measures 16cm in height and 22cm in diameter, which makes it one of the smaller pieces we offer and a good match for a compact table lamp base or a tighter spot where a fuller shade would crowd the space. It works as a pendant, floor or table lampshade, so you can hang it low over a reading chair, sit it on a side unit, or pair it with a floor lamp. Assembly takes around 5 minutes and we include a short video to walk you through it, so the feathers settle correctly and the profile stays even.

For the bulb we recommend an E27 fitting rated at a maximum of 15W LED, which is not included so you can pick the warmth you prefer. A lower Kelvin value around 2700K gives a softer glow through the feathers. This lampshade is for indoor use only. If you need help choosing a size, do ask us.
