Description

Our Light Blue finish brings a soft, restful calm to a room, the kind of gentle wash of colour that settles a space rather than shouting across it. This is a lampshade made from approximately 1800 goose feathers, and that pale blue tone lends the rounded feather form a cloud-like quality once the light is on. We chose this colour for corners that want warmth without heat, spaces where you would rather the light felt quiet. Set against a pale wall or a darker paint, the feathers catch the glow and scatter it softly, giving you a light that feels diffused and easy on the eye.

The shape is a rounded feather shade, wider than it is tall, so it reads as full and soft rather than sharp or geometric. In this Medium size it measures 30cm in height with a diameter of 45cm, and it weighs just 0.3kg, so it hangs or sits without strain. Each one is built from goose feathers, textile and steel, and the feathers are sourced to the RDS standard, something held to across the range. It works as a pendant, floor or table lampshade, which means you can hang it low over a dining table or fit it to a table lamp base in a reading nook, and it does either job well.

Fitting it takes around five minutes, and we include an assembly video so you can follow along at your own pace. It is compatible with E27 fittings and takes a max 15W LED bulb, which we do not include, so you can pick the warmth you prefer, around 2700K for a cosy glow.
