Description

The Enigma is a three-light semi-flush ceiling fitting with a central brass cylinder and three articulated brass arms, each terminating in an opal glass diffuser shaped like a flattened ellipsoid. The fitting measures 600mm across its widest span and projects approximately 200mm from the ceiling, positioning the three glass shades at different heights and angles to distribute light across the room rather than directly downward.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m where a full pendant would hang too low, the Enigma suits bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms and hallways that need general ambient light without a centrepiece chandelier. The three G9 bulbs (sold separately) are housed inside the opal glass diffusers, which soften and diffuse the light to reduce glare. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible G9 LED bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch.

The brass frame is finished in a satin tone that sits between polished and brushed, reflecting light without creating mirror-like hot spots. The opal glass is a solid milky white that becomes luminous when the bulbs are lit, casting soft pools of light onto surrounding walls and ceilings. The three-arm asymmetrical arrangement gives the fitting visual interest from below without the geometric formality of a symmetrical three-light cluster.

Each arm is fixed in position during manufacture, so the angles shown in the product image are as the fitting will appear when installed. The central brass cylinder conceals the wiring and mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose with a backplate diameter of approximately 100mm. The fitting carries an IP20 rating, suitable for dry indoor locations only.
