Description

The Empire-3 is an 180mm diameter glass sphere pendant with a smoke-to-clear ombre gradient, housing a perforated brass inner tube that surrounds the G9 bulb fitting. The glass shades from dark smoke at the top to fully transparent at the base, creating a graduated light diffusion effect as the G9 bulb (sold separately) illuminates the perforated brass cylinder inside.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining table clusters, hallway runs and bedside positions, the Empire-3 works as a single fitting or in groups of two or three on a single ceiling point. The 180mm sphere sits approximately 200-250mm below the canopy when installed, making it suitable for ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher when hung over a table or worktop. The black fabric cable and polished brass canopy complement the smoke glass and internal brass tube finish.

The perforated brass tube inside acts as both decorative element and glare shield, directing light outward through the glass while preventing direct sightlines to the G9 capsule bulb. The ombre gradient from smoke to clear means the pendant presents differently depending on viewing angle — darker from above, more transparent from below. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations, and the dimmable specification allows pairing with most G9-compatible LED dimmers.

The Empire-3 takes a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a G9 LED between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light. Check the bulb is dimmable if using with a dimmer.

Is the cable adjustable?

The black fabric cable can be shortened during installation by looping excess cable inside the ceiling rose or canopy. Once installed, the drop is fixed unless re-fitted.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor covered areas.

Does it come with the brass tube shown in the image?

Yes. The perforated brass inner tube is part of the fitting and sits inside the glass sphere, surrounding the G9 bulb holder.
