Description
The Emberlux is a 300mm tall column pendant in brushed brass with a 60mm square cross-section and a single GU10 downlight fitting at the base. The metal housing encloses the bulb on three sides, directing light downward through a white diffuser set into the bottom face. A black braided cable runs from the top of the column to a matching ceiling rose.
Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallways and side-of-bed positions where a narrow pendant is needed without the visual bulk of wider shades, the Emberlux works singly over a compact table or in multiples spaced along a worktop. The 60mm footprint fits neatly into corridors and galley kitchens where wider pendants would impede headroom. The 2000mm cable allows drops from standard 2.4m ceilings down to 600-700mm above a worktop or 700-800mm above a dining surface.
The brushed brass finish has a low-sheen satin texture that reduces reflections under daylight and pairs comfortably with both warm-toned timber kitchens and cooler grey or white schemes. The GU10 socket accepts any standard GU10 LED up to 50W equivalent (typically 5-7W actual draw). Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific GU10 bulb chosen and the dimmer model installed — most modern LED GU10s pair with trailing-edge dimmers without flicker.
The IP20 rating restricts the Emberlux to dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor covered areas, or anywhere moisture is present. The metal housing and diffuser wipe clean with a dry microfibre cloth.

Frequently Asked
Is the Emberlux dimmable?
Yes. The pendant itself supports dimming, but compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb you install and the dimmer switch in your circuit. Most modern dimmable GU10 LEDs work with trailing-edge dimmers without flicker. Check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchasing.
What bulb does it take?
The Emberlux takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 50W equivalent (typically 5-7W for an LED). Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED GU10 between 2700K-3000K for task or ambient kitchen lighting.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating restricts the Emberlux to dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor covered areas, or anywhere moisture is present.
How far does it hang from the ceiling?
The 2000mm cable allows the pendant to be suspended at various heights. For a kitchen island or worktop the typical drop is 600-700mm above the surface. For a dining table the drop is usually 700-800mm. The cable can be shortened during installation if a lower ceiling or shorter drop is needed.
