Description

The Elsa is a 17cm diameter glass pendant light with a clear outer cylinder enclosing a frosted inner diffuser, creating a double-layered shade that softens light from the E27 bulb inside. The pendant hangs on a steel cable with a white metal canopy, and the cable length is adjustable from 350mm to 2350mm on installation.

Designed for kitchens, hallways, dining areas and bathrooms (check IP rating in specification), the Elsa works as single task lighting over a worktop or sink, or clustered in groups of 2-3 over breakfast bars and kitchen islands. The 17cm diameter gives enough presence to be noticed without dominating smaller rooms, and the dual-layer glass diffuses light evenly downward and outward rather than creating a harsh pool below the bulb.

The clear outer glass reveals the frosted inner cylinder when the light is off, giving the pendant visible depth and texture in daylight. When lit, the frosted layer diffuses the bulb into an even glow rather than showing the filament or LED elements directly. The pendant accepts any E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to the wattage limit specified in the table below (sold separately), and is dimmable when paired with a compatible bulb and dimmer switch.

What bulb does the Elsa take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for even diffused light through the frosted inner shade.

Is the Elsa dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself contains no electronics that would prevent dimming — dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulb you choose.

Can the cable length be adjusted after installation?

The cable is adjustable during installation, from a minimum 350mm drop to a maximum 2350mm. Once the pendant is fitted and the excess cable secured inside the canopy, changing the drop length requires re-accessing the canopy and re-threading the cable.

How is the glass cleaned?

The outer clear glass can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and standard glass cleaner. The inner frosted diffuser is accessed by unscrewing the outer cylinder from the fitting — clean it gently with a dry or barely-damp cloth to avoid water marks on the frosted surface.
