Description

The Eclipso is a 1100mm-diameter cream fabric pendant light built around a central ribbed sphere with two opposing wing-like textile shades extending horizontally from the core. A single E27 bulb fitting sits inside the central sphere, casting light through the ribbed fabric structure and outward through the two wing panels. The entire shade is constructed from cream-coloured textile with fine radial ribbing running from the centre outward, giving the fabric dimensional texture when lit.

Designed for spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Eclipso suits dining tables, kitchen islands and bedroom positions where wide horizontal light spread matters more than vertical drop. The 1100mm span provides coverage for tables up to 1800mm long or seating areas measuring 2000mm square. The 2000mm cable allows adjustment during installation to position the shade 700-900mm above a surface. The dimmable E27 fitting accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W, giving control over both light intensity and colour temperature depending on bulb choice.

The cream fabric maintains a neutral warm tone under daylight and softens to a warmer off-white when backlit by a 2700K-3000K bulb. The ribbed textile construction diffuses the light source evenly across the wing panels, preventing harsh glare and providing ambient rather than task illumination. The IP20 rating limits the Eclipso to dry indoor rooms away from bathroom zones and outdoor exposure. The shade weighs approximately 1.2kg and mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose via a chrome canopy supplied with the fitting.

What bulb does the Eclipso take?

The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 8-12W and 2700K-3000K to complement the cream fabric tone.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The fitting supports dimming when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. LED bulbs require an LED-compatible trailing-edge dimmer for smooth dimming without flicker.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1100mm horizontal diameter requires ceiling heights of 2.7m or above to maintain adequate head clearance when the pendant is positioned 700-900mm above a table or seating surface. The 2000mm cable can be shortened during installation if needed.

How is the fabric cleaned?

The cream textile is best maintained with light vacuuming using a soft brush attachment or gentle dusting with a microfibre cloth. For spot cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used sparingly, but avoid soaking the fabric as it may cause watermarks or damage the internal frame.
