Description

The Duracell D376/377 is a 1.5V silver oxide button cell battery sold as a single unit in blister packaging. The battery measures 6.8mm in diameter and 2.6mm thick, fitting devices that specify SR626, SR626SW, V376, V377 or equivalent codes. Silver oxide chemistry provides stable voltage output throughout the discharge cycle, which matters for precision devices that require consistent power rather than gradually declining voltage.

Designed for wristwatches, electronic calculators, digital thermometers, small hearing aids and electronic toys, the 376/377 works in any device with a matching button cell compartment. The battery sits in a recessed holder inside the device, typically accessed via a small screwdriver slot or twist-open back panel. Installation polarity is marked on both the battery and the device compartment (positive side up in most cases).

Silver oxide cells deliver higher energy density than alkaline equivalents and maintain voltage stability down to the final stages of discharge, which prevents the slow-down or dimming that occurs with alkaline cells as they deplete. The sealed construction prevents leakage under normal use. Shelf life is approximately 3-5 years when stored at room temperature in the original packaging.

Frequently Asked

Is the 376 the same as the 377?

Yes. The 376 and 377 are the same physical cell with the same voltage and capacity. The different codes refer to minor variations in silver oxide chemistry (376 is standard drain, 377 is high drain), but both work interchangeably in most devices. Duracell packages this as a dual-code product to cover both compatibility requirements.

What devices use this battery?

Common applications include analogue and digital wristwatches, pocket calculators, digital thermometers, small LED torches, car key fobs, electronic kitchen timers and certain hearing aid models. Check the device's battery compartment or manual for the specific code (SR626, V376, V377 or equivalent).

How long does the battery last?

Battery life depends on the device's power draw. In a typical analogue wristwatch the 376/377 lasts 2-3 years. In higher-drain devices like digital watches with backlights or calculators with frequent use, expect 1-2 years. Shelf life before installation is approximately 3-5 years.

Can I use an alkaline equivalent instead?

Alkaline button cells (such as LR626) physically fit the same compartment but provide lower voltage stability and shorter runtime. Silver oxide is recommended for precision devices like watches and medical instruments where consistent voltage matters. Alkaline equivalents work but may cause time-keeping drift or premature low-battery warnings.

Shipping & Returns

Free worldwide delivery

Free worldwide delivery on all orders over £99. International orders for third-party brand products may be subject to an additional courier surcharge based on volumetric weight, particularly on larger lighting fixtures — if a surcharge applies, our team will email you with the amount before dispatch and you can proceed or cancel for a full refund.
