Description

The Duceri D1000SWH is a 3W LED emergency bulkhead from ESP's Duceri emergency lighting range, finished in white with an IP65-rated polycarbonate housing suitable for indoor and sheltered outdoor locations. It illuminates escape routes and open areas if the mains supply fails, using eight SMD 2835 LEDs to produce 100 lumens in emergency mode and 120 lumens on mains at a 5500K colour temperature. An integral 3.2V 1800mAh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery provides the required three hours of emergency duration.

This is the hinged version of the bulkhead: the front lid is hinged, so the housing opens for wiring and battery access without removing the fitting from the wall or ceiling, which speeds up installation and later maintenance. The luminaire is switchable between maintained and non-maintained operation, so the same fitting suits escape-route lighting (non-maintained, lit only on mains failure) or areas that need the light on at all times (maintained). A green LED confirms the battery is charging, and charge and discharge protection looks after the battery over its service life.

The D1000SWH includes a switchable self-test function that automatically carries out the periodic function and duration tests emergency lighting must undergo for compliance, then signals the result, which reduces the manual testing burden across a site. It is certified to BS EN 60598-2-22 and BS EN 62034, mounts to a wall or ceiling, and comes with all legends included for use as an exit indicator where required. A flush-mount kit (EMBULK2FLUSH) is available separately for recessed installation.

What does switchable self-test do?

The self-test function automatically runs the periodic function and duration tests emergency lighting must pass for compliance, then indicates the result, so each fitting does not have to be tested and logged by hand. "Switchable" means the self-test mode can be turned on or off as needed.

What is the difference between maintained and non-maintained?

In non-maintained mode the LED only lights when the mains supply fails, which suits dedicated escape-route lighting. In maintained mode the LED stays on at all times and switches to battery if the mains fails, which suits areas that need permanent lighting. This fitting can be switched between both.

How long does it stay lit in an emergency?

The integral 3.2V 1800mAh LiFePO4 battery gives 3 hours of emergency duration from a full charge, meeting the standard requirement for emergency escape lighting.

What does the hinged design add over a standard bulkhead?
